If you want to ride into central London, is better to check if you will need to pay the new charge for motorcycles( and other vehicles) - called ULTRA LOW EMISSION ZONE.
From today, 08th of Apil 2019 the charge went live.
Sadiq Khan, mayor of London, is introducing a 24 hour, Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), meaning vehicles driving within the new charging zones, who do not meet Euro 6 emissions will be charged per day, in addition to the daily congestion charge.
The average daily charge for a car that does not meet new emissions standards is £12.50, in addition to the congestion charge. ULEZ charges are in effect 24/7, 365 days a year.
Most vehicles are subject to the £12.50 rate, including vans, minibuses and motorcycles.
If you fail to pay the ULEZ charge, you will face a penalty of £160 (reduced to £80 if you pay within 14 days).
According to ULEZ standards, vehicles must meet the following Euro frameworks to be exempt from the charge:
-Euro 3 for Motorbikes – engines must not produce more than 2.3g/km of carbon monoxide and 0.15g/km of nitrogen oxide
