I'm always trying to find events made by women for women, especially when we are talking about motorcycle related events!
Today we found out about "Bike Fresh".
I've found out that is the second edition and will take place at Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford, Somerset (www.himm.co.uk) BA22 7LH. Regarding the location, if you ask me, I think is amazing. Just found out that is the UK's biggest exhibition of cars and motorbikes (more than 400 vehicles!!!!!) dating from 1900 to today, plus kids' play areas.
The event is a motorcycle skills and networking day run by ladies for the ladies, promoting rider safety, slow rider
skills, biker 1st aid, bike maintenance and observed ride out will be available.
Will last the whole day (will be good to arrive at 9 AM so we can drink our coffee together ;) ) starting at 10 AM until 5 PM.
The final itinerary will be sent to us once the team will confirm the "guests" and support they are involved with.
The event is free, with the support of the Haynes Museum, but would be nice to donate 10£ on the day to Air Ambulance.
Don't forget that the booking is essential, so if you want to take part, you need to email firstname.lastname@example.org letting her know your name/email address/bike model/any special requirements/ new to Bike Fresh event(yes/no).
Don't panic! If you're out riding with your partner/friends and they don't fit the criteria for Bike Fresh, they can go at Yeovilton Fleet Air Museum BA22 8HT ( www.fleetairarm.com Europe's biggest naval aviation display) because Somerset Road Safety is having a weekend called "Somerset Moto Fest 2017". A free event for all the family for all 2 & 4 wheels, with exhibitors, demonstrations and much more.
In you are unable to make it through the whole day, but are going for a ride out that weekend, it's a great place to have a halfway stop as there are cafe facilities at both sites. Also, both museums offer discounted entry fees to the museums through the relevant event organizers.
Soooo it seems that I know what I will do in that weekend. I hope I will see a lot of female riders at this event!
