Racing season is on- World Superbike first race
Superbike World Championship (also known as SBK, World Superbike, WSB, or WSBK) is a motorsport road racing series for modified production motorcycles also known as superbike racing. The championship was founded in 1988. The Superbike World Championship consists of a series of rounds held on permanent racing facilities. Each round has two races and the results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers.
This weekend we had the first race of the 2019 season: Australian Round.
Both race 1 and race 2 were won by Alvaro Bautista, 34, riding a Ducati.
Jonathan Rea finished second and Leon Haslam and third this first race of the 2019 World Superbike Championship in Phillip Island.
