How was your weekend?
Mine was about...of course: RIDING!!! Whereabouts? Manchester! What can be better, on a Friday afternoon after work, then riding?
Was a short, lovely riding from London to Coventry with a lot of filtering, but oh well, motorways. Stopped to say Hi to some dear friends and catch up. Saturday morning, around 8 AM, I was heading toward Manchester. Taken the M6 ( Toll)- didn't know that for bikes, by day you need to pay 2.60 GBP ( by night I thin
I've just returned from a short ride and as well from MCN Motorcycle Show at Excel London. In the morning around 11, me, my OH and a good friend we went riding to the motorcycle show kinda with big expectations. Because of MCN, because of London, because of one of the biggest trendsetters in the world.
Arrived there, we were lucky because we parked the bikes in an Excel hanger with security if you can say security in the UK, even though was a big sign that stated
Days off means ride on!!!
Where to? Germany! Why? New bike...new BMW...so need to see BMW Museum. But first, let's stop and say hi!
On the 10th of October started my 4 days riding journey. The dashboard showed me 18034 miles. Let's start! The beemer is ready, the backpack is in position, strapped, full tank, full gear, and nice weather forecast.
But a journey can't start without little "surprises" made by my GPS, as usual. This time was my fault. I've forgotten the "Avoid
When I've moved to London was late autumn and everywhere I was seeing people wearing red poppy pins on they suit collars/scarves/jackets. At some point, I was approached by a charity worker that explained to me the meaning of the red poppy. The poppy is worn around the time of Remembrance Sunday (traditionally from All Souls' Day (November 2) until the latter of Remembrance Day (November 11) or Remembrance Sunday.
Now is autumn again and November is just around the corner an
In July I was asking myself who was the first women motorcycle club and we learned a lot about Moto Maids that was charted in 1941.
During that time, was hard to be a female rider but, nowadays everybody can enjoy this passion. Still, we have issues with the gear...you know ...our curves and body futures :) so isn't that easy!
The UK Statistics On Bikes And Motorcycle Licence Holders has confirmed there are now over half a million women holding full motorcycle licenses.
The last couple of days were mind-blowing for me. Two weeks ago I was fitting my new tyres on my old lady - Suzuki Sv650S at the garage and there was a bike: Honda NC700. Looked good so I just tried it. Wow, such a good position.
I want a new bike for my crazy long rides but, I don't have any clue what bike I want.
As a phone addict, straight away I've googled it, seen the pros&cons of the bike and found a nice NC700 advert on gumtree.co.uk. Email the seller but, nothing.
After working 20 days in a row, I said I need a little riding break.
In one of the evenings, my mom called me and I found out that she was visiting my brother and his family in Frankfurt and I was " ohhh nooo!!! However, I had planned to visit them on the 16th of September, not now!!! What can I do?" I'm addicted to my family and to one of my best friends: MY AWESOME MOM!!! This is the route- > https://goo.gl/maps/G63hoYd13AQ2 Soooo, checked my account, bought new tyres ( th
Ok, finished with the 2-day riding, 828 miles. Had a good night rest but wake up with soaring hands but happy.
On the 9th of August, one of my best lady friends of mine landed and visited me. She was "my birthday gift" from home.
Sooo happy, birthday gifts: books about female riders and about a true love story between a biker that isn't among us anymore and his lady and dream catcher friendship bracelet (dream catcher meaning-native Americans believe that the night air is f
11th of August! Yes was my birthday!!!
So let's see how the second day of riding will be.
This was the itinerary https://goo.gl/maps/B9za62njuKR2
Wake up around 7 AM, packed everything and went to have breakfast. Looked outside the window: raindrops on the window and cloudy. Open the weather app and in Devon& Cornwall area were 40% chances of rain! Sounds better than 90% from yesterday.
Had my breakfast, enjoyed the nice view that the restaurant offers you and as well a s
11th of August! Yes was my birthday!!! And I'm writing about a riding that I made a couple of days ago.
In fact, this ride started a year ago, before my bday. I was looking at the map of Great Britain and wondering what I want to do special for my 30th birthday...so I said that I want to see the southernmost point of the UK and ride my bike there. OK! Google it and I've found out the southernmost point of the mainland: National Trust Lizard Point. Next step, make the itinera
