Women Riders World Relay-not a Sunday ride!

Today is the start of the first edition of this international event: Women Riders World Relay. What is about? Hayley Bell, the founder, a 27 year old office manger from Warrington, England  had an idea to unite under the same event, all female riders world wide, by connecting, planning, riding motorbikes and passing a baton across the world covering 90 countries in one year. “We coordinate women motorcycle riders across the world to participate in the annual “Women Riders Wor

Crashing my personal "how many km I've been riding in a day" record ...and my motorcyc

Days off means ride on!!! Where to? Germany! Why? New bike...new BMW...so need to see BMW Museum. But first, let's stop and say hi! On the 10th of October started my 4 days riding journey. The dashboard showed me 18034 miles. Let's start! The beemer is ready, the backpack is in position, strapped, full tank, full gear, and nice weather forecast. But a journey can't start without little "surprises" made by my GPS, as usual. This time was my fault. I've forgotten the "Avoid

Unexpected ride but happy to do it!

The last couple of days were mind-blowing for me. Two weeks ago I was fitting my new tyres on my old lady - Suzuki Sv650S at the garage and there was a bike: Honda NC700. Looked good so I just tried it. Wow, such a good position. I want a new bike for my crazy long rides but, I don't have any clue what bike I want. As a phone addict, straight away I've googled it, seen the pros&cons of the bike and found a nice NC700 advert on gumtree.co.uk. Email the seller but, nothing.

Chasing unicorns while riding a motorcycle towards a bomb! London- Frankfurt

After working 20 days in a row, I said I need a little riding break. In one of the evenings, my mom called me and I found out that she was visiting my brother and his family in Frankfurt and I was " ohhh nooo!!! However, I had planned to visit them on the 16th of September, not now!!! What can I do?" I'm addicted to my family and to one of my best friends: MY AWESOME MOM!!! This is the route- > https://goo.gl/maps/G63hoYd13AQ2 Soooo, checked my account, bought new tyres ( th

Della Crewe – 5,378 mile trip in 1914-Where She Goes Trouble Follows

After Cy's Woodman attempt to make a solo ride from New York City to New Mexico, someone else enrolled in an adventure. The time was beginning of the 20th century, at a time when even the hardest men would think twice about making a cross-country trip through nearly inexistent road infrastructure, a young woman was about to show them how it’s done. Miss Della L. Crewe, born in 1884 in Racine, Wisconsin, was 29 years old and making her living in Waco as a manicurist and was a

Cy Woodman- 1913 attempt ride from NYC to New Mexico

Today article is short but, is about a female rider and we salute and we pay tribute to every woman motorcyclist that tried to make everybody see that women as well can ride motorcycles. Reading, researching and trying to learn more about female motorcyclist throw out the history, I am more and more impressed. Reading "On The Trail to Victory American Motorcyclist- Journal of the American Motorcyclist Association" 1988, August edition but, as well Cris Sommer Simmon's book

Let's try something new... and a ride, of course!

Ok, finished with the 2-day riding, 828 miles. Had a good night rest but wake up with soaring hands but happy. On the 9th of August, one of my best lady friends of mine landed and visited me. She was "my birthday gift" from home. Sooo happy, birthday gifts: books about female riders and about a true love story between a biker that isn't among us anymore and his lady and dream catcher friendship bracelet (dream catcher meaning-native Americans believe that the night air is f

My birthday ride out- day 2

11th of August! Yes was my birthday!!! So let's see how the second day of riding will be. This was the itinerary https://goo.gl/maps/B9za62njuKR2 Wake up around 7 AM, packed everything and went to have breakfast. Looked outside the window: raindrops on the window and cloudy. Open the weather app and in Devon& Cornwall area were 40% chances of rain! Sounds better than 90% from yesterday. Had my breakfast, enjoyed the nice view that the restaurant offers you and as well a s

My birthday ride out- day 1

11th of August! Yes was my birthday!!! And I'm writing about a riding that I made a couple of days ago. In fact, this ride started a year ago, before my bday. I was looking at the map of Great Britain and wondering what I want to do special for my 30th birthday...so I said that I want to see the southernmost point of the UK and ride my bike there. OK! Google it and I've found out the southernmost point of the mainland: National Trust Lizard Point. Next step, make the itinera

Bike Fresh- run by women for women motorcyclists 09th of September 2017

I'm always trying to find events made by women for women, especially when we are talking about motorcycle related events! Today we found out about "Bike Fresh". I've found out that is the second edition and will take place at Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford, Somerset (www.himm.co.uk) BA22 7LH. Regarding the location, if you ask me, I think is amazing. Just found out that is the UK's biggest exhibition of cars and motorbikes (more than 400 vehicles!!!!!) dating from 1900 to

    Clara Marian Wagner- 1910

Hmm, when I ride I pay attention to the traffic but as well I have all sort of thoughts. Today I realized that I don't know who is the first female motorcycle rider in the history so I came with the idea to make a section of successful female riders from the past until now. This is my tribute to all the ladies that put female riders on the map world wide and shown everybody that women can ride and we are proud of it! So let's start with the first documented woman motorcyclist
